Silicone cords

These silicone cords are a relatively new tool in the world of knitting, but have become really popular. The main reason they have become so popular is because of their many uses. A great feature about them is that they are hollow and you can fit the point of your needle in the ends of them.

One of the ways you can use these cords is to transfer stitches from one set of needles to another by putting a tip of one needle in one end of the cord and the tip of the other needle you’ll be transferring the stitches to in the other end of the cord. To transfer the stitches you simply slide the stitches from one set of needles to the other. Another way you can use these is to try on your projects while they are still on the needles. To do this you just put each of your needle points in  an end of the cord and it acts as an extension of your needles.
