Nordic Bloom Hat

The Flower Hat is a colorwork hat. The two colors that I knit this hat with are dark olive green and light sage. Both of these yarns are made out of 100% BFL (Bluefaced Leicester), which is soft to the touch but does not pill as much as merino wool. The colorwork pattern turned out more subtle than I expected because of the lower contrast between the two colors, from a distance though, the pattern becomes more clear. 

This hat has a circumference of twenty inches, which fits an average adult head. I have only worn this hat a couple of times as it spends most of its time at Moonspun Wool on display. I have found that for my personal style this piece makes a better display of technique, skill, and materials more so than a practical piece.
