Mosaic Cowl

The Mosaic Cowl is a colorwork cowl knit with two different yarns. The beige yarn is 100% non-superwash wool. The other yarn is a self striping yarn that is 100% BFL and creates a gradient or soft stripes as you knit with it. The specific colorwork technique that I used to knit this called mosaic colorwork. Unlike other colorwork, mosaic colorwork is done by slipping stitches and only using one color of yarn per round. 

The intricate detail of this cowl would make it perfect to add a bit of intrigue to a rather  drab outfit. In addition to the detail of the stitch, the bright pinks and oranges give this cowl a lovely pop of color! I knit this cowl to showcase a new yarn that Moonspun Wool was carrying.
